The Back Room

Welcome to The Back Room! Step in, read, write and link with other sites that focus on the Bush Administration, their lies and our demand for the truth. The Back Room was created over many dinners, glasses of wine and "pints" of frustration over where our country is headed. We need more voices, your voices,to help us uncover and reclaim our democracy.

Cheney: Would Do It All Again

Meet The Press with Tim Russert had Vice President Cheney as their guest this past weekend. Even with reality staring America in the face, Cheney still refuses to admit that the Iraq war was a mistake.

The Bush Administration continues to "stay the course" and has turned up the volume on the "war against terror" rhetoric as the 5th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 and midterm elections approach. Forever denying but forever insinuating that 9/11 and the Iraq war are intertwined, this White House continues to push America on it's preset course towards disaster.

"It was the right thing to do and if we had it to do over again, we’d do exactly the same thing." ~Vice President Cheney, interview on MTP, 9/10/06.

Oh, Anna, Mike and I were talking about this yesterday. So, if he had the knowledge that Iraq did not have WMD, he says he still would have gone in after them, because they might have them in the future. It's mind boggling. Based on that logic, it would have made more sense to go after N.Korea. Oh, that's right, N.Korea doesn't have all that oil...
